  1. I read that you can change the File Extension of the Excel Sheet to a DOC or from .xls to .xlsx, but how do you do that if the file won't open?

  2. Followed instructions to a "T" and no dice for me — Bummer Man! But it worked for a lot of other people. Win some lose some — now time to move on.

  3. Thank you soooooooooooo much. i have been trying for hours to figure out how to change the setting to be able to open it on my laptop and this helped solve it.

  4. Thank you – you're a genius! After an hour of me trying to figure it out, I found your page and took your advice and BINGO! 5 Stars for you my friend 🙂

  5. Thank you so so much…my most important file got this issue..I was so worried thought I will have to do it all again but thanks to you it sorted…thank you once again

  6. Please help. my laptop just came back from guarantee repair. Downloaded and installed Office 365, where I have many Excel files saved. I can open and download them, but they won't open in this pc. In file explorer, I can only see them on Onedrive. If I open Excel from the start menu, I only get the Onedrive option. What now?????
